Pattern Glass Balky Mule Tray
Pattern Glass Balky Mule Tray
The Bellaire Glass Company made this pattern glass tray in the 1890's. The pattern is taken from a Currier and Ives print of a wagon full of people stuck on the railroad tracks where a stubborn mule has stopped. The train of course is bearing down on them. The heavy glass 12" in diameter tray is in remarkably good shape for it's age. There is one chip on the edge and a few light scratches.
