China, Porcelain:Antique:Pot Lid The lid is in very good condition for a pot lid. The transfer print is in very good and clear condition,there is a small area on the edge of the lid that is rough and darkened.The inner rim of both the base and lid have several chips. The transfer print is multi colored and of the ladies playing cards with a man giving advice.Ceramic pots were used from about 1820 to 1880 and contained everything from toothpaste to fish paste. Most of them came from England where they were first made.
