Antique Spittoon from the 1800's

Tobacciana:Spittoons. This mavelous old turtle shaped spittoon has cast iron head,legs and feet. The shell and bowl are tin. The whole body has a bronze finish which is nicely, age worn, in spots.The spittoon is 13" long and 10" wide foot to foot. It says Pat. Applied for 1891 on the legs. The spittoon would be a wonderful addition to a collection but also is a great decorative piece. The inner bowl is rusted through on the bottom- not a problem unless you are going to use it for a spittoon.
